On Your Mark

Day in and day out for the last two years, I have had ideas, half of them did not come to life because, I simply was lazy and afraid of starting something I did not know how to do...like this post/blog right here. This picture above was snapped at this beautiful hotel called Crystal Court in Lekki Lagos Nigeria. I told the photographer to take this picture while i "pretended to work". I was not doing a damn thing on my laptop. I should have started working on my website at this point but, the fear of "not knowing how to do it" went into full effect... and I was fronting for the gram..

GET SET...

I woke up one morning in Staten Island, New York in my bed. It was exactly 4 or 5am , still very jet lagged from Lagos and I thought to myself, "how long will I continue to wake up each morning..and do nothing. It was at that point that I owed it to myself to find out "HOW TO GET THINGS DONE!"

RUN LOLA RUNNN!

So here I am writing my first blog and finishing up my website which has been a emotional rollercoaster for me. Lets just say I am on the road to completing the goal I set out for February 1st 2019! Welcome to "LIVING IT UP WITH LOLADE".. wow I sounds so surreal saying it, let alone typing this as I think. Now, I must warn you that my punctuations may be a bit off, but I promise to use grammarly.com to get it right for the grammar gawds out there. But this space is mainly about my thoughts and experiences through this kingdom of life. Being a daughter, sister, aunty, public speaker and EMCEE, I'm just putting my thoughts to canvas.

I'll leave my favorite slogan with you all by a woman that I admire greatly " If you can think it, you can achieve it" - Mo Abudu .

Remember when in doubt ask good, and if at first you don't succeed dust yourself off and try again.
